Please note: The following summaries are general descriptions of job categories employed at most BPM Senior Living communities. They do not constitute complete or binding job descriptions and are subject to change as business needs and community needs dictate.

Executive Director

Senior Manager for the community. Provides vision, direction and accountability for all departments and functions.

Administrative Assistant

Acts as primary provider of bookkeeping, payroll and basic human resource services to the community residents, families and employees. Provides administrative support as needed to the Executive Director. Supervises receptionists.

Receptionist

Provides professional reception services at the front desk and over the phone. Facilitates communication within the community as needed. Provides miscellaneous clerical support as directed.

Health Services Director

Assures the quality, appropriateness and timeliness of all care at the community. Collaborates with residents and families to prepare and maintain care plans. Monitors and evaluates resident health. Hires, directs, evaluates and trains all nurses, care coordinators, med aides and caregivers.

Nurses (LVN/LPN)

Assists the Health Services Director in evaluating, managing and delivering resident care. May supervise Health Services staff.

Med Aide

Administers resident medication under supervision of the Health Services Director and nurses. Monitors and reports on resident conditions. Acts as caregiver as needed.

Caregiver

Assists residents with daily life activities including dressing, hygiene, bathing, toileting, grooming, mobility and other special needs as required.

Dining Services Supervisor/Chef

Provides quality meals and special event service appropriate to resident's nutritional requirements. Creates an attractive and comfortable dining experience. Plans and executes menus. Hires, directs, evaluates and trains all kitchen and dining room staff.

Cooks

Prepares meals and food for special functions under direction of the Food Service Director. May supervise all food service staff in the director's absence.

Servers

Provide quality service to residents and guests at meals and special functions. May assist in the kitchen as needed.

Maintenance Director

Responsible for repair and preventive maintenance of all facilities and equipment. May contract work as needed and approved. Turns apartments as needed. May supervise a Maintenance Assistant. May supervise housekeepers.

Housekeepers

Provide housekeeping services to residents and common areas in the community. May provide laundry services.

Activities Director

Plans and delivers a full range of appropriate and stimulating activities for all residents. May supervise an Activities Assistant. May supervise a driver.

Driver

Drive 15-passenger bus on special outings and to provide transportation to scheduled medical appointments and shopping events. Monitor and maintain resident safety during trips.

Personal Preferences Coordinator

Collaborate with residents, family members and all departments to identify and meet unique lifestyle needs and preferences of each resident. Act as primary point of contact to facilitate comfortable transitions for new residents.

Marketing Director

Provide leadership in engaging all employees in the promotion and marketing of the community. Cultivate referring contacts in the community and among health care providers. Develop and execute marketing strategies. Engage prospective residents and families constructively, professionally and effectively to achieve census goals.
